Ivory Fantasy granite , from India, is a beautiful creamy coloured stone with swathes of beige flowing through it. With a pale cream hessian coloured back ground it is similar to Kashmir White granite in that it has rivers of movement within the whole slab in a striated pattern. However the blending hews of peach and butterscotch running through it give it a much warmer overall feel.

Ivory Fantasy granite worktops would be an ideal complement to any wood effect and solid wood doors. In addition, this stone with its strong colour variation would also work equally well with flat gloss doors in almost any colour from the palest of whites through to rich brown or black.

Companies call different granites many different names. When I was looking years ago, Kashmir Gold was a variegated, gold brown white pattern. I got one very close to it for our kitchen with a slightly different name. Many of the highly variegated stones are more prone to cracking during shipment and are normally sealed at the quarries where they are mined. Once sealed, they are fine for use anywhere.

The sealing actually is an excellent thing as it prevents stains and makes it so you never have to seal it again.

So don’t worry about things you read online too much. People say everything.

I’ve had mine for 5 years, still no stains. Just don’t use 409 or any of those cleaners to clean it, that will damage the shine.

I use Dawn dish washing liquid, diluted on a sponge dish washer to wipe the surface. Then rinse off with a clean sponge. See the link for an example.
