Avoid tick bites by avoiding wooded, bushy areas with high grass and leaf litter, especially from May through July. Or walk in the center of a wooded trail and wear long pants, long sleeves and tall socks. Tucking pant legs into socks or boots and tucking shirts into pants helps keep ticks off skin. If you'll be outside for an extended time, tape the area where your pants and socks meet to prevent ticks from crawling under your clothes. Light-colored clothing will help you spot ticks more easily. Insect repellents with 20 percent to 30 percent DEET, applied to exposed skin and clothing, are effective. Permethrin is a pesticide applied to pants, socks and shoes (not skin) to kill ticks on contact. Always follow label directions on such products.
After being outside , even in your own yard, check your skin and clothes daily for ticks — which range from the size of a poppy seed to the size of a pea — and remove ticks from your clothes before going indoors. Take a shower as soon as you can. Inspect all parts of your body carefully including your armpits, scalp and groin. Remove ticks immediately using fine-tipped tweezers. To kill ticks that you may have missed, wash your clothes with hot water and dry them using high heat for at least one hour.
After removing a tick , your chance of getting Lyme disease is small if the tick was attached to your skin for less than 24 hours. But to be safe, be alert for any signs and symptoms of tick-borne illness. The first sign is usually a circular rash at the site of the bite after three to 30 days. This rash typically expands and may become clear in the center, like a bull's eye. People may experience fatigue, chills, fever, headache, muscle and joint aches, and swollen lymph nodes. If untreated, the infection may spread to other parts of the body within a few days to weeks, producing symptoms such as loss of muscle tone on one or both sides of the face, severe headaches and neck stiffness due to meningitis, shooting pains , heart palpitations and dizziness, and pain that moves from joint to joint.

I’ve not seen knitting with 2 circular needles done this way. I was taught that you always knit with the same two tips from each circular needle, so half your sock stays on needle A and the other half of your sock stays on needle B. Your method looks like it requires longer circular needles once you get both socks completely on one needle How long of needles do you recommend?
