But she's not your typical pretty face. She's Kristen McMenamy. And she's 46 years old. Inside, in a spread shot at the Chelsea Hotel shot by Steven Meisel, she lounges on rumpled sheets, shows off her chiseled abs, and appears to have the gravity

The camera seamlessly adds the information to a photo's EXIF data, so you can use software like Picasa or Google Earth to see where you were when you took your photos. The more I used the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V, the more fun I had.

These are not your grandfather's forest fires. Because the burn area in eastern Arizona is sparsely populated, damage to property so far has been minimal compared to, say, wildfire destruction in California, where the interface of civilization and

Thursday, the day before Friday « Kim Harrison's Drama
Thursday has always been one of my favorite days. Still sort of mid-week with lots to do on my desk, but the luster of Friday gleaming, luring me on. I like my weekends. I don’t have a lot planned for this one. Maybe make some chess cakes (which are really tarts) for my dad for Father’s day, and putts around in the yard. I’ve almost got all my rock borders in, and the last few feet seem to take forever. After that, I’m not sure what I’m going to do. Maybe mulch something.
Today, though, is still a work day, and though Trent did not see Lucy for the first time, he will today or tomorrow. It’s taking me longer to get to the nursery than I thought. Good news is that Guy tells me that the cover for the HOLLOWS INSIDER is up at Amazon . -grin- Sweet. I really like it. It’s not your normal cover, per say, and I can’t wait until it’s really on the shelves. For you Cincy people, there’s no crown building in the shot because the dates in the book put it before it’s built, and trust me, we thought about fudging it. One thing I like is that we’re finally starting to see Rachel’s face. I got a sneak peek at the cover for A PERFECT BLOOD yesterday, which totally blew me away, and yes, we see her face in that one, too. (I’d whine and throw a tantrum at my editor to show it to you, but I know it’s far too soon.)
Speaking of faces, we now have a face for Devin Crossman, the narrator for THE HOLLOWS INSIDER! Congratulations, S. Wilburn! Your photo was chosen as Devin Crossman’s mug shot for the Hollows Gazette Thursdays are my Mondays because I work every Th-F-Sa at our local yarn shop here in the high desert mountains of north central Arizona. That word, “work” is so not quite true, though. The yarns. The people who come in to buy yarns and make pretty things with yarns – such fun! The sample chapter free reads on Kindle and other devices are the best although some authors (like you) I prefer to have the 3-D versions in hand when I read. Plus, they look good on the bookshelves. That book is a gorgeous cover. You have soooooo gotta talk to the peeps in charge and get them to release posters!!!! We’re in the studio drooling over here because we want posters – we want posters (mugs and tee shirts too – LOL). My friends are teasing me because I finally found something I want to hang in my home office and it is NOT for sale (LOL).
