Rahkeem White was just 19 years old when he died Monday after he dove into the water at Somerset Pointe in Pinopolis and never came back up.
A viewing will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Scotts Mortuary on Highway 52 in Moncks Corner.
White's funeral is Saturday at 11 a.m. inside the Berkeley High School auditorium.
An off duty lifeguard and a bystander went into the water and located White around 6:15 p.m. CPR was started and Berkeley County EMS transported White to a local emergency room where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
According to the Berkeley County Coroner's Office, there wasn't any trauma to his body and his death has been ruled an accidental drowning.
Somerset Point, where the incident occurred, is a Santee Cooper employee's recreation area.
White is a recent graduate of Berkeley High School and was a standout running back. He helped the Stags win the 2009 AAAA-Division 2 state championship, and was a 2010 North-South All-Star. White was going to play football at St. Augustine's College in the Raleigh, NC area in the fall.

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Dorchester County Sheriff's deputies say a rape suspect who had been released from custody last fall after paperwork went unfiled, turned himself in early Saturday morning.
He's charged with a series of kidnappings and sexual assaults dating back to 1987.
The suspect, 52-year-old Herman Rigby Jr., was released from prison last October after serving time for armed robbery. Court papers state Rigby was released because the Dorchester County Detention Center never put a hold on him to be returned to the county.
"We're not pointing fingers. We're not going to blame anybody," Dorchester County Sheriff's Maj. John Garrison said. "All we're trying to do is make sure this situation gets back to where it's supposed to be."
Dorchester County learned of the suspect's release when one of his alleged victims called Summerville Police and asked about Rigby's status. After finding that Rigby was no longer incarcerated, Summerville Police contacted the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office and a warrant was issued to have him returned to custody.
Rigby was charged in April 2008 with a series of kidnappings and sexual assaults in Summerville and Dorchester County. He was identified as a suspect through DNA testing.
