At the sale June 17-18 in the 300 block of 15th Street in New Cumberland you’ll also find a free lunch, almost. If you spend at least $20 at the sale featuring items from at least seven families, you’ll get lunch as well.
You can choose from a barbecue sandwich, hot dog or chili dog and a soda.
Organizer Sandi Kraybill said the sale will include two of the beer advertising umbrellas from The Spot, a longtime landmark on Second Street in Harrisburg, two vintage Timex watches, a vintage 15-gallon crock, a couple of antique shoe stretchers and a samovar coffee urn.
The sale runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 17 and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 18.
Sharon Pastucka said the sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 17 at 6309 Stephens Crossing in Westover features antiques and collectibles from three antiquing friends who have been collecting for more than 17 years.
“There are lots of treasures,” she said.
One of the showstoppers, she said, is an 1830s pine two-piece hutch. Other items include an antique metal iron, crocks, ironstone dishes, a large antique pedestal table that dates to the 1930s and other antique furniture.
If you’re looking for antique items, this probably is your sale.
But if you’re in the market for modern furniture or a big screen TV, you’ll probably want to check out the downsizing/moving sale at 6106 Wallingford Way in Hampden Township.
You can pick up a maple king bed that carries a price tag of $150, an oak dresser with mirror, also priced at $150, and a 50-inch Panasonic HD plasma TV priced at $465.
