Theft - About 10 a.m. Tuesday, a man called in the theft of some lights from an open construction site on the corner of Highway 20 and Goldfish Farm Road. Eight lights, four from one unit and four from another, were taken sometime during night. The lights were worth about $4,440. Police had no suspects or witnesses. The caller said the lights are run by computer and are basically useless by themselves.

Fight leads to arrest - Deputies were called to a Mill City home Monday afternoon for a domestic dispute that allegedly started the day before. A woman, her ex-husband, their friend and two of the friend's children were involved in a physical fight. The woman called 911. The ex-husband and ex-wife both had visible injuries. They each claimed the other was the aggressor. The ex-wife is 5 foot tall and 100 pounds, but according to the 6 foot 1, 190 pound ex-husband, "she hits hard." Scott Douglas Hubert, 49, who listed a Lebanon address but lately has been staying in Eugene, faces charges of felony fourth-degree domestic assault, first-degree attempted burglary, harassment (domestic abuse), first-degree criminal trespass and driving while suspended.

Strange comments - At about 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, a man came to the counter at the Lebanon substation saying he wanted to see a deputy before he commits murder. A deputy talked with him and the matter was about allegedly missing money. The man did not have his bank information on him. The deputy said he went to the man's house to follow up later, but the man wasn't there. The deputy left a card.

Burglary on Bond Butte - About 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, a man called deputies to report a large burglary from his shop in the 33100 block of Bond Butte Drive. The door had been kicked in and the lock on the gate had been cut. The burglar or burglars made off with tools" estimated to be worth more than $40,000.

The owner was compiling a detailed list, but the first things he noticed missing were a Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter, Lincoln welder, Karcher steam/pressure washer and 15 stainless steel drawers full of tools. Deputies recovered evidence from the scene but had no suspects.

Car recovered in Harrisburg - At 6:45 p.m. Monday, a caller told deputies a car had been parked in the lot of an apartment complex in the 600 block of La Salle Street in Harrisburg for about two weeks without moving. Deputies responded, and the car was listed stolen from Albany. The owner was contacted. He arrived and after inspecting the 1997 Honda Accord, told deputies nothing of value was missing and there was no new damage. Deputies have no suspects.
