The 21 year old from Furso, in his debut year on the European Tour, has risen eighteen places with a score of under twenty and shares second place with the 24 year-old Englishman Gary Boyd in a season that so far has been fairly disappointing.

— And the Italians? They were disappointing considering their potential at the end of the third round; but all things considered it was a positive tournament. Molinari and Manassero shared eighth place with under 16, five behind the winner. Chicco seemed to be the unhappier in his white trousers which were muddy up to the knee, evidence of the heavy conditions underfoot which were less yielding than he would have liked. Then it was time to speak: "Considering how I played from tee to green my score couldn’t have been more than 68. I played 18 greens (with the right number of shots: one par 3, 2 par 4s, and three par 5s), but hit 31 putts: that’s too many. My play was very consistent for the whole tournament, but unfortunately I didn’t manage to regain my putting game, which is usually my strong point. I knew that four-under wouldn’t be enough today, I would have had to start better. We tried, but it didn’t happen". All-in-all he wasn’t too disappointed, and enjoyed a smile when he was informed that Rock could go to under-22 or 23 - "lucky for him!" -. This evening, Manassero will fly out with Molinari for the Congressional Golf Club in Bethesda, near Maryland: "Tomorrow I’ll probably rest: it was a very intense week. Apart from the game there were many commitments that are a manifestation of playing a tournament at home. On Tuesday I’ll try out the course with Chicco and Dodo: they will be my playing partners on Thursday and Friday in my US Open debut".

BMW may be working on an actual M edition for the X5 and X6, but their little brother, the X3, doesn’t want to be left out. Like a good mother, BMW is going to make sure the little one gets to play along too, but it also knows the small X3 is just to little to handle the power of a big engine. That’s why the X3 gets to look like a Motorsport car.

It’s called the X3 Limited Sport Edition, and it includes 19-inch M alloy wheels, M leather steering wheel, sport seats and xenon headlights. This X3 also features M aerodynamic bodywork and a retuned suspension. The package is available across the X3 line for 2009. Starting at €7,250 for the X3 with 150 hp gas engine and topping out at €7,900 for the X3 xDrive35d (diesel).
